Learning a different language not only affords the children to a culture, it also widen their language skills. We chose Mandarin as part of our language program because we take into account of our community diversity and languages spoken by children who are enrolled in our centre. The choice of this language is to provide long term advantages of improved literacy and communication.
Languages will be incorporated into everyday learning activities to give children the opportunity to use the language themselves. They will be encouraged to engage in language learning through play, art, music and stories, increasing their vocabulary along the way.
