Sarah Donald
Vice-President
I’m a mum of two and a long-time lover of all things community. I first joined the committee when my eldest (now six), started here, and somehow found myself as Vice President during the height of the COVID Lockdowns…which was an adventure I’m still recovering from.
I’m a long time believer in the magic of early education and childhood development. Having spent time across school councils, sessional kindergarten committees and private early learning centres I’ve built a good mix of practical experience and perspective. This experience has only deepened my appreciation and love for the incredible work early years educators do.
My real work (and my greatest joy) is my family, both immediate and extended. It’s the part of my life that grounds me the most and I naturally fall into the role of keeping everyone connected and cared for.
I grew up in Camberwell, making this area a natural home. I thrive on supporting the people within this centre in anyway I can and contributing to the community.

Hannah Fitzgerald
Treasurer
Hannah joined the TREL Committee as Treasurer in mid-2020, bringing her expertise in financial management to help support the centre’s care and educational programs. A Chartered Financial Analyst, she has a professional background in consulting and risk management within the banking and energy sectors. Hannah works full-time as a director at IFM Investors, a funds management company, while also balancing life as a parent to three active children.
Since moving to Melbourne from London in 2019, she has been thrilled to see her two boys and now her daughter thrive at TREL. In her rare free moments, Hannah enjoys running, reading, and cooking.

Bronwyn Fawcett
Secretary
Bron is a primary school teacher with over 15 years of experience, dedicated to improving literacy education in Victorian schools and passionate about inclusive education.
As a mother of three boys born within three years, Bron and her family were thrilled to join the TREL community in 2023. They immediately felt at home, appreciating the centre’s warm atmosphere and the strong relationships between children, educators, and families.
Since joining the Committee in 2023, Bron has enjoyed supporting TREL as a place where children can learn, play, and thrive with joy.

James Kerr
Committee Member
James has accidentally been “the IT guy” everywhere he’s ever worked, despite holding no formal qualifications. Now at TREL (as father of Francesca in Bilby and George in Kookaburra), he’s embracing the IT guy role on purpose, armed with his bulletproof troubleshooting technique (unplug it and plug it back in - if it doesn't work then it's proper broken) and progressive ethos: "Life is too short to safely remove USB."

Sophie Hinton

When Sophie returned to work after having her first child, Jackson, finding the right childcare was a top priority. She felt fortunate to discover TREL through her mothers' group and has been part of the TREL community for the past six years. Her boys have been warmly embraced, becoming part of the TREL family.
With 15 years of experience in Human Resources, Sophie brings a strong understanding of people and a passion for fostering supportive environments. She is committed to ensuring every child at TREL receives the same care, opportunities, and nurturing her own children have enjoyed.
